It was worth the walk.
The views overlooking Ipsos are spectacular and the food, although basic menu, is TASTY. We tried the pita gyros and it was Lamb, not pork, and was so tender and delicious. The bread seems to be homemade, albeit the chips are frozen.
Cracking prices, cracking food and well worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A simple, authentic taverna with a small menu (souvlaki, gyros, salad, etc) and low prices. The view is great - come here for lunch or a dinner when it's not dark outside. People serving are super friendly. Also a good option for a take away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely simple Taverna with fair prices. Very popular with locals which is obviously a good sign of decent food and decent price. Beautiful view from the terrace. We find it the perfect stop off from the Airport to Barbati for a "welcome back to Corfu" snack and drink. Planning to make this a regular thing.
