★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great neighborhood Greek place we happened on looking for another place. They grill meat or fish and the you add a ragu or other side. Mousakka and Pasticio also looked good. Sides are a bit oily but tasty.

The name that comes up on google maps is different but I have encountered that on more than one occasion, however the picture is correct and the name is in Greek, so help us god!
It's the kind of place where you select a main dish and they give you the options available for sides. I don't mind paying extra to break their rule. They are very accommodating and I consistently broke their rule. The result was I got a wide variety of food to taste and not one was below standard. The waiters speak English and are terrific. Recommend this place for a quick delicious home-style lunch/dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To Fagopoteion is an extremely good quality, honest, authentic Greek restaurant for lunch and dinner. The staff is very very kind and modest. The food is like homemade. My favorite spot in Athens, a gem in Kolonaki.

Huge disappointment when the food came, cold oven potatoes that had a yesterday touch to it.
The meatballs had a rich seasoning, unfortunately too dry and again cold.
Overall service is ok, but not a recommendation in Athens, which is sad since the place itself looks wonderful.

Chanced upon this vintage looking places nearby lycabettus hill.
Ordered pork steak & spaghetti with fresh tomato
The pork steak is must order! Very decent portion size. Well marinated and the right tenderness. It is crispy on the surface & comes with fats at the outer ring. Does not felt greasy at all!
The pasta tasted rather alright not very fantastic but definitely a comfort food. Felt that it is more like a homemade kind instead of msg loaded.
