★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the best place to eat in Areopolis. Located at the historical centre of the village, where greek insurrection started, offering amazing local traditional dishes!
Finally, for espresso lovers, you should definitely try the famous italian sant' Eustachio coffee! Never thought that i could drink my favourite roman coffee in Mani!!!

The ice creams were horrible. There isn't good ice cream in Areopolis at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely spot for lunch. Service nicely paced and very accommodating for the veggi in our party. The food was interesting. Slow cooked goat came with delicious fennel braised potatoes whilst our veggie had a delightful club sandwich which tasted fresh and vibrant. Really enjoyed it here and could have stayed all afternoon. Very clean and we’ll maintained too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were passing by and bought 3 cups of ice cream. We continued our walk and at the end of the paved street we discovered a hair in our ice cream. One of us went back to complain and the lady who served us had a tremendous terrible attitude telling us : "It's not ours. We don't care ".
Not even a simple sorry which would be enough.
