★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both the burger and pasta are 10/10 good. I havent had a veggie burger this good in many many years. The owner/co-owner was incredibly friendly and I watched this guy so put so much love and time into my food. Really, go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve visited this place twice the last week and I love it! The owners are lovely, friendly and so kind and their food is awesome. The vegan burger is literally the best thing I have ever tasted and even my mom who eats meat thought that this burger is better than the non-vegan burgers. They have so many options to choose from and the prices are great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I can’t wait to come again!<3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mad Irie is a must when in Matala. One of the only ones that still has the chill and relaxed grooves what this side of the island is supposed to be about. The owners David and Michelle are lovely and will welcome you themselves. David is an amazing cook. You can enjoy beautiful vegan food here. The vegan burgers are amazing. You can also get your hair sone here by Michelle. At night there is alway s a nice vibe to chill or dance, either way. A good place to meet some interesting people and locals. Love it or love it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lunch at MAD IRIE, and we had really great food! This chef knows what he is doing, compared to a lot of other bigger restaurants. He (they) serve daily fresh dishes, that's why the menu is different each day. Wish this kind of bar/restaurant happened more here on Crete.
If you are in Matala, please visit here if you want fantastic food! Even if you aren't vegan/vegetarian, you'll love it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nope...the consistent 5 start rating is not a joke. It's rather underrated. Except for the burger the menu keeps rotating. So you are always in for a good surprise everytime you go there.
Our first meal(lasagna+pasta) in Kreta was a blast. Price-Taste ratio is a bomb! Bonus for the genuine smiles. :)
