majestique of naxos - ΧΩΡΑ ΝΑΞΟΣ

Don't book this, it's a total scam! We booked this hotel long ago (2019!!) we arrived in sept 2021 and the room we booked was not avalaible. The lady said we could get a room at the other building, but we didn't want that (it's not what we booked and not that close to the centre). We both agreed to get our money back and so we booked another hotel. When we arrived at the other hotel we got a message that they will not give us our money back. So they really scammed us, don't book here! ----- As you can see the owner reacts to all the negative reviews with an excuse. Don't believe it! They say we changed the date twice, which is not true. Due covid we had to change the date once and yes, that was very kind as it was non refundable at that moment. BUT that is not an excuse to put us in another building without letting us know and to agree with cancellation and giving the money back and change that agreement after an hour.

6 days before our arrival, the owner/manager (Maria) watsapped us to say that we would be staying in a new building that is "slightly lower" from the original one we had booked. We were not asked whether we minded being moved to the new location, we were simply told that this was happening. She only sent us the link with the full address on the day of our arrival (I'm sure the timing of that information was deliberate), and it turns out that the new address is a 7-10mins walk further from the center/beach. It's in a residential neighbourhood with poor lighting and no shops or restaurants nearby. It also turns out that the new building is still a building site with our room smelling of paint, the aircon not working and issues with the wifi. The breakfast (which we were told was included and was one of our main reasons for choosing Majestique of Naxos) in this new building is not on-site and we were told we would have to go to a cafe further down the road (although it was not clear which one). When we arrived, there was no one to meet us and we had to walk around the building trying every door to see if one of them would be open (luckily one of the rooms was left with keys!). Another couple were staying in this new hotel and had the same issue. On Sunday evening, we had a lot of back and forth with Maria over WhatsApp, repeatedly asking her to put us up in the original room & building that we had paid for. The main reason we chose Majestique was because of its location and we didn't want to pay the same price for something that was located far from the building we had booked and paid for. Maria kept insisting that they have been moving everyone to the new building since August this year, which she repeatedly claimed is exactly the same. In our view, this is at best misleading and at worst misrepresentation: she is using the goodwill and good reviews of Majestique of Naxos to put her customers in a building site that is in a completely different location. We successfully managed to persuade her to put us up in the "old" hotel on the next day, but she still refused to refund us for the first night.

Amazing hotel! Absolutely loved it!! Everything new, comfortable and cozy. Room is fully completed- nespresso machine, fridge, tv with Netflix and YouTube, everything you need! Jacuzzi is perfect. Clean inside. Friendly staff. Very nice Infinity pool. Totally recommend!!!

Maria and the team at Majestique are incredible. She is so hospitable - she offered to personally pick us up and drop us off at the port, provided tons of recommendations and constantly ensured that our stay was enjoyable. Maria provided the best, most memorable hospitality during our 2-week trip throughout Greece. The facilities are also lovely with a beautiful roof top pool with a perfect view of the sunset and the city. The hotel is also in a good location with a ~5 min walk to the main part of town and ~10 min walk to the beach.

Our stay at mystic of Naxos was a pure delight! The room was clean and charming and the street is quiet. There is a rooftop with a beautiful view at sunset that you can enjoy from the swimming pool. Maria the owner, and all the staff are incredibly kind and attentive, they make sure you have everything you need. As a departure gift they offered us sweet specialities from Naxos. Thanks to the team for making our trip at Naxos so amazing! We will come back for sure! Nastassia

Perfect stay at perfect Mystique of Naxos!!! We really enjoyed our vacation at this amazing place. The location is in the center of Hora, everything is reachable by foot, supermarket, beach (Ag.Georgios), restaurants, shops, port.. The room has an amazing design, we loved our private jacuzzi and the roof pool with beautiful sunsets! Mrs. Maria is an amazing host, very lovely and professional. She gave us best tips for our exploration tour of the island and the highlights. Mystique of Naxos really met our expectations and we highly recommended to everyone. Lovely place in a top location within walking distance to beach (<5min) and multitudes of restaurants. The rooftop swimming pool is awesome. As mentioned in other reviews, the bed is super comfortable and rainforest shower so good. My only ‘low’ was that the room is a bit dark, there is only one window, which opens into the street so you cannot really open it fully. Being so close to the street, it can also get a bit noisy at night. Anyway thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous boutique hotel, very new and clean, it’s one of a kind. Wonderful terrace with pool and relax area. Located in downtown, just few minutes walking form restaurants, shops and pharmacies, yet quiet area. Ms Maria super welcoming and nice. Lucky to have met her and spent a relaxing night in that lovely place. Don’t miss it when in Naxos!
