Born in Athens Greece, Mike decided to become a hairdresser right after high school. Since his family were already in hairdressing, he literally grew up inside a hair salon. His passion drove him to attend two hairdressing academies at the same time.

In 1996 Mike attended the post-education course at Vidal Sassoon London (Creative Course Sassoon) and after that he started working as a professional hairdresser. Being always eager to learn new things, he has attended many seminars at Vidal Sassoon, Toni&Guy, Alfa Parf Milano, Bertram Austria, Wella Hellas, L'Oréal Hellas, Selective Italy, to name just a few. Besides hairdressing seminars, he has also attended a range of courses from salon marketing to body language.

In 2001 he created his own hair salon in Athens and gathered a successful team of professionals whom he constantly educates. This in-house education has led him to become a professional trainer for hairdressers, teaching haircutting, colouring, face and colour analysis and bridal styling. He also works in Manhattan, New York regularly.

Today, Mike Mavrokordátos is a successful professional with excellent technical and communication skills. A natural artistic flare and a keen eye for detail has made him one of the most sought after hairdressers in the area. His inspiration is derived from nature's colours, architectural shapes and an innate awareness of what his clients want, has contributed to his often, fully booked salon. Keeping ahead of the latest fashion trends both at home and internationally has enabled Mike to provide a very individual service to all his clientele. He is highly experienced in team projects and always shows great enthusiasm in new opportunities such as hairdressing competitions, shows, editorials, TV shows and educational DVDs. The driving force behind Mike's love for his art is to be able to create unique and personalised makeovers for each and every one of his customers!
