Super value, great location and wonderful, helpful and sweet people and the owner is a treasure. Great for Solo or 2 people even for longer stay.

Very good value for money in the off season, stayed in March. Friendly host and quiet location, right next to the beach. Our room had a sea view. Wonderful stay.

Taxi will cost you at least 15 euro to port. Better staydown town if have to catch ferry or flight Owner run cafe as well, below the hotel.

Monousos rooms are fantastic, wonderful family owned, small town of Galissas, near 2 of the best beaches on Syros. Above a bar with sea views (call for pricing) I come back every year and there is a rental car agency and atm, restaurants and a market across the street if you need. Visit ancient Galissas while there. Syros is one of my favorite Greek islands. Other side of island is a stunning large port city and Ano Syros, the old town. The Capital of the Cyclades

We arrived pretty late at night and expected nobody to be there. However, the owner was actually waiting for us on the porch and welcomed us warmly, after which he proceeded to show us our room. He also took the time to show us everything and made sure we understood. Later on he even came back (after politely knocking) and apologized because he had forgotten to give us the WiFi code. After that he came back another time to give us a large water bottle because he figured we’d be thirsty. So the arrival was excellent. The room itself is more than adequate. It had everything we needed. Also there was a nice balcony on which we would sit during the evening, reading or simply enjoying the marvelous view on the ocean. Next to the balcony, there was also a place for us to hang our clothing, so it would dry. Simply put, we got everything we wished for. Special thanks to the owner, he was great to us and made sure we had everything we needed all the time. He even offered to drive us to a nearby village to get groceries but, we friendly declined as it was a beautiful hike. To summarize, this is a great place where you get more than you would expect for the price. If we ever return to Syros we will definitely pay this place another visit. Would definitely recommend! *short notice: you can get a €3.20 bus ride for two, to the main port straight out of the appartment or €12 taxi
