Das Mantenia ist ein einfaches, herzliches und authentisches Stück Kreta, wo nachhaltiger Ressourcen-Umgang und gegenseitiger Respekt dazugehören ohne sie gesondert hervorzuheben. Wir fühlten uns herzlich willkommen, bekamen gute Tipps und hatten eine tolle Zeit! Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig, sehr gepflegt und nur 300m vom tollen Sandstrand entfernt. In 5 Minuten ist man im Zentrum von Platanias inkl Busanbindung nach Rethymnon, wo man gemütliche Tavernen, Supermarkt und alles, was der Tourist sonst noch braucht, findet. Anyone looking for glitter, glamor, animation and fashion show at the buffet is wrong here. The Mantenia is a simple, warm and authentic piece of Crete, where sustainable resource management and mutual respect are part of it without singling it out. We felt welcome, got good tips and had a great time! The hotel is very quiet, very well maintained and only 300m from the great sandy beach. In 5 minutes you are in the center of Platanias incl bus connection to Rethymnon, where you can find cozy taverns, supermarket and everything else the tourist needs.
T	Thom C. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein gutes älteres Hotel. Geführt von zwei älteren Schwestern. Kein Luxus, kein Spa nichts. Frühstück einfach gehalten. Wasser wird manchmal einfach abgestellt. Räume eher dunkel. Manche Glühbirne leuchtet nicht mehr. Sehr sauber. Trotzdem Charme und Ruhe und freundliche Leute durfte man an diesem Ort finden. Irgendwie magisch! Das Haus ist etwas stehen geblieben. Gottlob hat sich durch den Tourismus Boom hier nichts verändert. Ein Bijou, wer nicht puren Luxus braucht! A good older hotel. Run by two older sisters. No luxury, no spa nothing. Breakfast kept simple. Water is sometimes turned off. Rooms rather dark. Some light bulb is not lit anymore. Very clean. Nevertheless, charm and peace and friendly people you could find in this place. Somehow magical! The house has stopped a bit. Thankfully, nothing has changed here due to the tourism boom. A bijou, who does not need pure luxury!

Beim Frühstück richt es vom Garten her nach Jasmin und die Bougainvillea (Drillingsblume) leuchten einem lebensfroh entgegen. Wer es gern ruhig und familiär hat, ist hier genau richtig. Es ist nur wenige Minuten vom wunderbaren, langgezogenen Strand weg. Eine grosse Auswahl von Restaurants, Boutiquen und Supermarkt sind nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. Das Hotel wird von zwei sehr gastfreundlichen Schwestern liebevoll und mit Hingabe geführt. Alle 30 Minuten fährt ein öffentlicher Bus ins Städtchen Rethimnon. Auch ein Tennisplatz gehört zum Hotel. Für uns als Ehepaar war das Hotel ein Glückstreffer. Wir haben die griechische Gastfreundschaft hautnah erlebt! A wonderful small but fine hotel with a well-tended garden. At breakfast, the garden faces jasmine and the bougainvillea (triplet flower) shines brightly towards you. If you like it quiet and familiar, this is the right place for you. It is only a few minutes away from the wonderful, long beach. A wide range of restaurants, boutiques and supermarkets are just a few minutes away. The hotel is run lovingly and with devotion by two very hospitable sisters. A public bus goes to the town of Rethimnon every 30 minutes. The hotel also has a tennis court. For us as a married couple, the hotel was a stroke of luck. We experienced Greek hospitality up close!

In der Nähe befindet sich ein kleiner sauberer Strandabschnitt mit Taverne, Liegen und Sonnenschirmen zur Miete. Simple small family hotel with beautifully maintained flowery surroundings. A beautiful pool is also part of it. Very attentive and gracious hostess. Nearby is a small, clean stretch of beach with a tavern, sunbeds and umbrellas for rent.
