Food we had was okay, was a bit cold when it came. Chickpeas were great though. What was quite frustrating though was that more than half the menu wasn't available.

Marathoriza is not recommended. The quality of the food is low, but also the owner's behaviour. First of all, marathopita with honey was the worst we had in the island. Secondly, the rice of the dolmadakia was overcooked, it had almost the texture of pureè. We also ordered ntakos as a salad. The taste of it felt like earthly, soilly which means there was probably mold in the salad. After we told the waiter, they took the salad, and 10-15 minutes later the owner came a bit annoyed and asked what was wrong, and told us that they made the salad the same morning and it's fresh. Then, he started asking customers around, who had the same salad with us, to prove his point. Even though the salad was fine (as he claimed), they never brought us our salad back, not even a new one; we just paid for the moldy salad we never ate. Finally, I had lamb with sage and honey as a main course. Not only did I not taste any sage nor honey, they put the worst part of the meat in the plate; the layer under the skin, which means I had to remove a lot of fat and the white membrane which is not edible. Half of the portion stayed in the plate. Overall, I do not recommend marathoriza. It feels like a touristic trap to me. If you know about good food, do not go there. The restaurant is ran by amateurs, who claim to be professionals.

AVOID THIS PLACE! The worst experience that I ever had with a restaurant. The salad had a weird taste and the shrimps with spaggeti was cold and untasty. The waiter (he was super polite) took the salad from our table and then the owner after 10 mins came to us and said it was ok and it was our problem that we didnt like it. About the spaggeti with the shrimps, he asked us if we want as a package after we return it as it came super cold. We said no, and again it was our problem. We asked to pay the bill with what we ate and we gave us the bill with all the dishes. I asked him to pay what I ate. The owner started to scream to us in the restaurant and bullied me to leave the restaurant without paying at all. His wife, who cooked the dishes, came and she didn't even know that this main plate was served. I asked again to pay what I ate  and I did it of course, extra the ntakos salad but not the main dish. The food was really low in quality and the worst that we ate in Serifos.

In summary : Amazing food. Great service This family restaurant was recommended to us by a local. We then call to make a reservation. Because the restaurant is so small, the owner doesn’t accept reservations, he told us to come early if we didn’t want to wait (thanks for this useful advice). So we did and got a table for 6 almost as soon as we arrived. On the menu everything looks appetizing, we the order one of everything and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for this great moment

This place is the best, real Greek dinner and every dish is excellent. But the best part of the experience is the staff, from the boss to the waiters everyone is so kind and nice that you will be surprised and delighted. Thank you for the amazing dinners!

The only worthy restaurant in serifos. High quality, good prices and excellent service. The owner is personally taking care of everything. Try the cheek peas in the oven, the sun dried tomatoes and the marathopita!!!all amazing!!!and the prices are very reasonable. The only problem is that the restaurant is very tiny and most of tables are indoors..but totally worth a visit!

Suprisingly good! Lot of choices. As well vegans, meat and a little bit short list seafood. A family restaurant wich will surprise you.

A nice small family restaurant located in the centre of the village. I check the menu e everything sounds delicious, I chose the chefs suggestion, The typical meal they eat during Easter celebration; for entrée the slices of loin (homemade) that I eat with the local bread (was very tasty) and as main course lamb cooked in a pan. WOW ? The lamb was super tender and delicious. I strongly recommend it.
