★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chris the owner cancelled our booking a day before although the reservation was pay on arrival, they tried to take payment before. SHAMEFUL. Will never recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful small hotel, super clean and very quiet (at the end of a small dead-end street so ZERO traffic noise!), very conveniently located just 10 minutes on foot from super-touristy Plaka but in a neighborhood that is free of tourist traps. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within two blocks, but real Greek places frequented by locals. A superb budget option! Highly recommended...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely clean rooms and bathrooms, maintained every day, and sound isolation is good. Christos and Nancy are helpful and can recommend good restaurants ? The hotel is at the end of a dead end street so it is very quiet. In this calm neighborhood there are some supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants in pedestrian streets with trees, the metro station Sygrou Fix in five minutes walk and also a tourist police station. If I would visit Athens again I will certainly return to Marble House Pension.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our flight got cancelled, I rang up to ask if there was anything they could do, e.g move the dates or part refund to which the owner laughed at me and said “don’t be stupid,” very rude.
Obviously not all hotels can accommodate flight cancellations but they can at least have some manners.
No wonder they only have a 1 star

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, great staff, very happy. Walking into the hotel feels like home, you are greeted with a warm welcome. This is an ideal place to stay with many great bars and restaurants within short walking distance, very close to the centre of Athens probably a good 15-20 minute walk.
