Though the staff was very very courteous and helpful, but the fact remains a lodge only, no star hotel, don't be misguided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic and friendly helpful staff. Large spacious rooms and gargantuan bathroom. Former home of important Greek politician. Breakfast was served on the veranda and it was delicious. Although there is no swimming pool here, you are able to use facilities in other nearby sister properties, including the awesome Petite Palace that sits on the edge of the caldera. There is a public bus stop 350 meters away to get to the beach or into Fira economically or take an expensive taxi. Not much of a selection of restaurants/bars nearby but a few. You will be made to feel like a VIP here.

We were more than delighted to be allowed to use the volcano view pool. We will definitely come back !
The great breakfast was served on our private terrace. Careful, don't order too many side dishes, the standard breakfast is already fantastic.
