Awesome hotel run by a beautiful family and staff who really cared about their guests. Great rooms with everything you could possibly need. Close to tavernas and bars and beach but far enough away to be in a quiet spot. The gardens and pools are beautifully kept. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Thankyou for a spectacular holiday

Amazing and friendly staff, they took great care of us and even left a little parting gift for us to enjoy at home. Would definitely stay again. Cleanliness alright, Wifi works well enough to work, In close proximity to beach and some good restaurants.

Everything about our stay at Mary Hotel was just perfect! The stuff is just exceptional, many thanks to Konstantinos, Olga, and all the rest of the crew for making our stay unforgettable!! We came to the hotel at the beginning of the season, same week as we were celebrating our wedding in Rethymno. We couldn't choose any better! We had a split-level suite, and it was just perfect. Very big room, beautiful furniture & design, very comfortable bed, top service, cleaning every day, view on the pool and calmness around. The hotel is just 2min walk to the beach, and other 2 min to many taverns and shops. To go to Rethymno center, you can walk (however it's quite far, like 1.5h), take a local bus or taxi. The hotel has two pools, many sunbeds around, and a bar. In the morning you can order breakfast, which is prepared by the owner, and it's delicious. Homemade omelets, cakes and much more, really worth the price. :-) To sum up, we loved our stay and we would definitely recommend it to anyone!! We can't wait to go back soon. It was just lovely. Thank you so much <3 Kasia & Ilario

Many hotels are clean, nice, and safe. This one is too. But not everywhere you can meet and exceptional hotel owner. Konstantin is exceptionally friendly, polite, generous, and helpful. This is a rare case when one needs no better advise than simply to ask in the hotel. All his suggestions are excellent and genuinely for the interest of the guests. 100% recommended.

We were very pleasantly surprised here! Just used it passing through from a late ferry arrival in Heraklion on our way to Chania, but we will come back here for a longer stay. Staff is super! Amazing check in by the friendly receptionist helping me unload while my son was sleeping in the car, super smooth and stress-free. The room was huge and clean, had 2 balconies and a good shower. Breakfast excellent for the price. Location very good, halfway the beach and the main street with taverna's and shops. Thanks a lot for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable! One very small comment: we requested a quiet room. At first it was indeed super quiet but on our 2nd morning there was a lot of noise from early morning. We then found out our room was right above the utilities room and apartment for the cleaners..

We will definitely be returning to this beautiful hotel. We spent 10 nights here. The grounds are beautiful, very clean and tidy. The family are very welcoming to all. We stayed with our family of 6 in 1 apartment above the main pool. It seems there is plenty of different rooms to choose from in size, which is great for couples or bigger groups like my own. The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The two shower rooms and toilets are a bonus for 6. my son and daughter didn’t want to leave the pool, the water was amazing, it just felt like it was fresh water, no chemical smells or eye sting after being in it a while. The beach is a 2 minute walk, but the pool and pool side was where we wanted to be, it’s so relaxing. On an evening we had a two minute walk to nearby tavernas, steki taverna and garden taverna are amazing. There’s a lovely bakery just round the corner with amazing fresh bread, cakes, sandwiches and iced coffees. We Can’t wait to visit again, thank you for the amazing holiday. My family had a great stay.

We’ve just arrived home from staying a week at Mary Royal and I just had to leave a review! The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and our basement studio in the new building was gorgeous. Our studio had everything we needed and suited us well as I struggle with walking distances and the hotel was very easy to use my manual wheelchair from the entrance to our studio (just a couple of steps down to the basement studio). What also makes it is the people who work here, they’re incredibly friendly and they really do make you feel so welcomed. I’m sad to be home as we really enjoyed our stay in Crete with Mary Royal but won’t hesitate recommending this hotel to everyone, it really is a little hidden gem - I hope we will be back one day too! Thank you Konstantinos and your wonderful team (I’ll also miss ‘Mary’ the stray kitten who started visiting the hotel - I wish I could’ve taken her home!). A couple of our favourites places we discovered for future guests: The little village called Margarites, it’s incredibly cute and we spent so long choosing which pottery to bring home! There’s also Taverna Mántalos, where we had the best lunch - you must go! Added bonus is the beautiful view. For beaches where the sea is more calm to be able to swim in we loved Kalivaki beach (the one in the West of Georgioupolis) and Kalyves beach (by CostaAnita cafe - they bring lunch/drinks to you on the beach - perfect!). As a vegan my favourite place was in Chania called ‘Pulse’ - we had a Mezze board and it was incredible. Chania itself is absolutely beautiful too so well worth the journey! Locally to the hotel we loved Giampous bakery too - not too far to walk to either, and Axos for the best cocktails. Myli restaurant was also lovely too and they’re so friendly.
