Hidden enough Plateia Merkouri is not spoiled by the touristic facade, while it is an easy going urban public space (small as it is it offers a feeling of proximity) fully inhabited by the vibrant socially active neighborhood, all ages and many trends meeting. Surrounding shops offer good options for food (souvlaki, falafel, ouzo meze) coffee or beverages. Check the children's open library and toy closets. People make the place a hope for urban futures.
