One of the good places to eat in Kavala, food was great and the service was very fast, special compliments to the "main waiter" or the manager not sure what his position is, but he was taking care of everything we wished. We even celebrated a birthday and they threw us a 5 min celebration with Bulgarian music and it was quite fun, gave us some cake too. Definitely visit this place if you go there!

Very nice place, everything was delicious. You should try zucchini chips. We mainly prefer sea foods and we liked them. Price is also good ( 3 people 30 euros) the staff were friendly and polite. Recommended for a nice dinner

We visited Kavala for a week at the beginning of September and we found accommodation in the old town, due to extremely low availability to the local hotels. Luckily for us this was a great decision because we had the chance to dine out very day and experience the amazing authentic greek food. First evening we ate at 'the best rated restaurant in town' which wasn't the best in our opinion. In the second evening instead we decided to have dinner at this amazing place which was buzzing all the time we went by. It was 2 min away from where we stayed and decided to give it a try. Needless to say that every single night we spent in Kavala we had dinner at "Mermaids And Guys", being seduced from the first bite by the tasty dishes and amazing flavours. The service was impeccable every time. Yannis is a truly asset to this place, he helped us choose the best dishes from the menu and we had never regret it. The food was always fresh and even though some of the recipes had abundance of olive oil or fat (which Is totally normal and traditional) we never felt sick, like it happened in some other cases. The prices are extremely reasonable for the food quality this restaurant is providing and you get to try the very authentic taste of Greece. The portions are just huge, most of the times me and my partner were sharing the plates, but I tend to say that this is a ‘greek thing’ since almost everywhere we ate we received very generous sized food. All the fish and sea food dishes we tried were over the top and the salads the best we ever had. I don’t have enough praise words to describe how impressed we were with this place, every afternoon we were trying to skip lunch just to have the opportunity to try something new from their menu. I recommend this place with all my heart; it had a very big impact over our holiday making it the best we had so far. You won’t be disappointed. My suggestions to try are: Tsipura (a traditional fish, translated as gilt-head fish), the grilled octopus, the veggie salad with dressing, the stuffed mushrooms, the grilled mushrooms. Make sure you leave some space for dessert!

Awesome food awesome wine, nice music. The whole restaurant takes place in an alley and it has a very Greek vibe into it. Everything is so awesome from the food to the stuff. Totally recommend 10/10

The shrimps (grilled and saganaki) were amazing, the greek salad delicious, and the sun dried octopus very tasty, all the other plates looked amazing, staff very efficient and friendly, we’ll surely come back !!!

Nice atmosphere, excellent service and great Greek cuisine except two major drawbacks - the Greek salad is more like the traditional Bulgarian Shopska salad and the fried zucchini are quite oily and fatty. Have in mind the portions are a bit bigger, the salad is ok for two people. Prices are perfect for the quality, I would rather say it's a bit cheaper than usual
