Επιβλητικός μεσαιωνικός Πύργος που ανήκει σε μια σειρά από κατασκευές ίδιου τύπου στη Βοιωτία που λειτουργούσαν ως βάση του δικτύου επικοινωνίας και της άμυνας. Κατασκευάστηκε από Καταλανούς φεουδάρχες της περιοχής σε στρατηγικό πέρασμα και αποτελούσε οχυρό για την προστασία του φεουδάρχη και του αγροτικού πληθυσμού της περιοχής σε περίπτωση εχθρικής επιδρομής.
Η βάση του πύργου έχει διαστάσεις 7,93x7,79μ. Το ύψος του είναι 17 μέτρα και ήταν τριώροφος.
Για την ανέγερσή του χρησιμοποιήθηκε εγχώρια πέτρα και υλικά που προέρχονταν από αρχαιο-ελληνικά ή βυζαντινά κτίσματα, με κεραμίδια ή τούβλα ως συνδετικό υλικό. Η λιθοδομή του Πύργου είναι, γενικά, πρόχειρη, αλλά οι γωνίες του κτίσματος είναι οικοδομημένες με τετραγωνισμέ-νους, σχετικά μεγαλύτερου μεγέθους, λίθους, οι οποίοι διασφαλίζουν τη σταθερότητα.

Impressive medieval tower that belongs to a series of constructions of the same type in Boeotia that functioned as the basis of the communication network and defense. It was built by Catalan feudal lords of the region in a strategic passage and was a fortress to protect the feudal lord and the rural population of the region in case of enemy invasion.
The base of the tower has dimensions of 7.93x7.79m. Its height is 17 meters and it had three floors.
