★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People, be carefull. Ticket guy charged me twice as much as he should have, that I've noticed when taking my seat and having a look at a bill. Upon arriving at Hydra I approached the captain to complain, and he just gave me back the difference, with no word said. I'm not sure was this "one man show" or maybe all are inflicted, yet, please, pay attention because it might happen again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most efficient means by which to get from Napflio to Hydra Island. Drive from Napflio to Metochi is Pike's Peak + Initial D. No cars on Hydra (only horses and donkeys); park (5 Euros per day) to take a 30-minute ferry. Ferries leave every two hours (even numbered hours on the Metochi side traveling to Hydra, and odd numbered hours on the Hydra side traveling back to Metochi), 6.50 Euros each way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For some unknown reason, TripAdvisor won't accept a review of this great service. It's the quickest, cheapest and most hassle free way to get to Hydra. Many travelers rent a car from the Athens airport and drive here. With secure parking, a rustic waiting area and simple ticketing, the 25 minute trip beats anything out of Piraeus.
