★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were hot and tired after a beautiful hike up the valley beyond the old town of Xanthis and we were very hungry. As we collpased into chairs in this delightedful eatery infront of their big fan, we were immediately served cold water and handed menus. We choose fried 'gavros' and feta cheese baked with tomato and chilli peppers - absolutely perfect. The Vergina beer was really nice and cold - we have come to love this Greek beer - and our water was replenished as we emptied it. The waiters were charming speaking a good English . Sadly they don't serve coffee but made up with a delicious little dessert. Will return.
