Χτίστηκε την εποχή της οθωμανικής(τουρκικής) κατάκτησης.
Το μνημείο αυτό στέκει ως φάρος μνήμης, της καταπίεσης και τυραννίας των σκλαβωμένων Ελλήνων από τους Τούρκους.

It was built during the Ottoman (Turkish) conquest.
This monument stands as a beacon of memory, of the oppression and tyranny of the enslaved Greeks by the Turks.

I do not understand what this thing serves from the moment a man was found in the area that demolished almost the whole (intentionally or by mistake I do not know) a church that was on his property and at the moment when Hagia Sophia is turned into a mosque. It leaves me indifferent
