★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο Άγιος Δημήτριος Παλαιού είναι ένα πανέμορφο εκκλησάκι χτισμένο στους πρόποδες του βουνού και από εκεί έχεις μπροστά σου την καταγάλανη λιμνοθάλασσα του Αμβρακικού κόλπου και μπορείς να απολαύσεις καταπληκτικά ηλιοβασίλεματα!!! Το εκκλησάκι εορτάζει κάθε χρόνο με μεγάλη λαμπρότητα τον Άγιο Δημήτριο και συρρέει κόσμος από τις γύρω περιοχές προσφέροντας τα ταματα τους μέσα σε μεγάλες κανιστρες στολισμενες με κατασπρα κεντητα τραπεζομαντηλα. Στο τέλος διανέμεται δωρεάν φαγητό, ποτό και αρωματικά λουκούμια. Φεύγοντας αισθανόμαστε υπέροχα από τον υπέρλαμπρο εορτασμό αλλα και από τα θαυμάσια τοπία!!!
Agios Dimitrios Paleos is a beautiful church built at the foot of the mountain and from there you have the blue lagoon of Amvrakikos Bay in front of you and you can enjoy amazing sunsets !!! The chapel celebrates Saint Demetrios with great splendor every year and flows people from the surrounding areas offering their tomatoes in large canisters adorned with white embroidered tablecloths. In the end free food, drink and fragrant turkeys are distributed. As we leave, we feel great about the over celebration but also the wonderful scenery !!!
