The nuns were very good. They calm you down. The monastery is excellently maintained, spotless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το Μοναστήρι του Αγίου Γεωργίου Κρεμαστής Λαρίσης εορτάζει στις 23 Απριλίου.
Δεν ξέρουμε πότε ακριβώς ιδρύθηκε η μονή, , ανάγεται πάντως στους μεσαιωνικούς χρόνους.
Άγνωστος είναι και ο κτήτορας της Μονής.
Το καθολικό πού σώζεται έχει υποστεί κατά καιρούς εξωτερικά καί εσωτερικά προσθήκες και αφαιρέσεις. Μερικές από τις τοιχογραφίες είναι του 17ου αιώνα, ενώ εντοιχισμένο ανάγλυφο από λευκόλιθο ανάγεται στον 12ο η 13ο αιώνα και μας δίνει κάποια ιδέα της παλαιότητας.
Με το διάταγμα περί των μοναστηριών του 1833 διαλύθηκε και παρέμεινε για 160 περίπου χρόνια εγκαταλειμμένο.
Το 1837 έγινε προσπάθεια εκ μέρους της Διοικήσεως να κατεδαφισθεί η Μονή και να μετατραπεί σε στρατώνα, αντιτάχθηκε όμως ο κόσμος με επικεφαλής το Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο Γαρδικίου.
Το 1991 με Προεδρικό Διάταγμα έγινε η επανασύστασή του.
Η μικρή αδελφότητα από τις μοναχές πού κατοικεί σήμερα στο μοναστήρι, έχει καταφέρει να το ανακαινίσει και να το κάνει πόλο έλξεως για τούς πιστούς.
Στο Μοναστήρι φυλάσσονται τεμάχια τιμίων Λειψάνων αγίων πού εκτίθενται για προσκύνηση.
The Monastery of Agios Georgios Kremastis of Larissa celebrates on April 23.
We do not know exactly when the monastery was founded, however, it dates back to medieval times.
The owner of the Monastery is also unknown.
The surviving katholikon has from time to time undergone external and internal additions and subtractions. Some of the frescoes are from the 17th century, while a white bas-relief wall dates back to the 12th or 13th century and gives us an idea of antiquity.
With the decree on the monasteries of 1833 it was dissolved and remained abandoned for about 160 years.
In 1837 an attempt was made by the Administration to demolish the Monastery and turn it into a barracks, but the people opposed, led by the Municipal Council of Gardiki, opposed.
In 1991, with a Presidential Decree, it was re-established.
The small fraternity of nuns who now lives in the monastery, has managed to renovate it and make it a pole of attraction for the faithful.
In the Monastery are kept pieces of relics of saints that are exhibited for worship.
