The monastery is located in an amazing location, surrounded by the river. The katholikon of the monastery is decorated with frescoes of the 16th century, painted by the leading painter Frango Catelano, the main representative of the school of Thebes.

Unique sanctuary, excellent natural environment. The monastery is untouched by women. And women are allowed to visit only on the feast day of St. George
