Η Μονή Παναγίας Ηλιόκαλης είναι αφιερωμένη στην Κοίμηση Θεοτόκου. Βρίσκεται στο βουνό Δρίσκος κοντά στα Ιωάννινα και απέχει από αυτά περίπου 14 χιλιόμετρα. Είναι ένα μοναστήρι φρουριακού τύπου, χτισμένο με πέτρα Σώζεται ένα παλιό διώροφο κτήριο με κελιά στο ισόγειο και στάβλους και αποθήκες στο υπόγειο και το καθολικό του, καμαροσκέπαστη βασιλική με πρόναο, κυρίως ναό και Άγιο Βήμα και ένα νεότερο μικρό κτίσμα, από το οποίο γίνεται και η είσοδος στον ναό.
Οι ωραιότατες αγιογραφίες είναι του 1888 και το ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο είναι έργο του Αναστασίου Μπαλαδήμα από τα Ιωάννινα (1766). Το χωριό Ηλιόκαλη, ένα από τα λεγόμενα καμποχώρια των Ιωαννίνων, έχει πάρει το όνομά του από το παλιό μοναστήρι.

The Monastery of Panagia Iliokalis is dedicated to the Assumption. It is located on the Driskos mountain near Ioannina and is about 14 kilometers from them. It is a fortress-type monastery, built of stone. An old two-storey building with cells on the ground floor and stables and storerooms in the basement and its cathedral, an arched basilica with a pronaos, mainly a church and a sacred vault, and a new smaller building, from which it also becomes the entrance to the temple.
The most beautiful icons are from 1888 and the wood-carved iconostasis is a work of Anastasios Baladima from Ioannina (1766). The village of Iliokali, one of the so-called Kampochoria of Ioannina, has been named after the old monastery.
