Flawless tour by the artist's daughter Costa Lousta, who covered all the questions that were created and gave even more interesting information about his work and personality.

Gentle staff. The building takes you to another era. The exhibitions it hosts are always interesting. (The photos are from the current exhibition with portraits of Lusta and from the exhibition for Women's Day)

The building is just stunning, both in the interior and exterior. There are some very nice paintings and artifacts as well as furniture from the beginning of the 20th century. The drafts from Nikolaos Gizis well-known paintings are worth taking a look at. The stuff is helpful and welcoming. There is work to be done though, in terms of organising the place and advertising the Municipal Art Gallery. Entrance is free.

We visited this gallery on a Friday afternoon. It is housed in a delightful building, which used to be the house of a wealthy family. You will not get quite what you expect of a municipal art gallery, but perhaps it is all the better for it. There is a much more intimate atmosphere and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. As we came in we were presented with a temporary exhibition of modern Greek art in various genres. The first floor was devoted to the 19th century Greek artist Nikolaus Gyzis, who studied at the Royal Academy of fine arts in Munich. On the top floor we saw various woodcut, silk screen and lithographic prints by various Greek artists - some of these are amazing. Well worth a visit and not at all crowded.

The Municipal Art Gallery houses works by Nikolaos Gyzis (1842-1901) and Dimitris Mytaras (1934-2017) as well as temporary exhibitions. The villa is well preserved and taken care of.
