★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σήμερα στον Δήμο Ωρωπού ήρθε το ΕΚΑΒ για την μητέρα μου, καθώς βγήκε θετική στον Κορωνοϊο, τις προηγούμενες μέρες ήταν με πυρετό και με σημερινές "τελικώς εσφαλμένες" μετρήσεις το οξυγόνο της κάτω από 90. Ωστόσο αν και το οξυγόνο έβγαινε τόσο χαμηλό η μητέρα μου καθώς είναι "δύσκολος" άνθρωπος αρνιόταν να πάμε να την δει γιατρός ή να πάμε στο νοσοκομείο. Έτσι αναγκάστηκα να φωνάξω το ΕΚΑΒ για να τις κάνουν μετρήσεις, να την δουν και εαν χρειαστεί να την πάμε μέσα.
Ήρθε το ΕΚΑΒ με 2 παλικάρια. Τους εξήγησα την κατάσταση και τους είπα πως η μητέρα μου δεν "συνεργάζεται" εύκολα. Πραγματικά έμεινα άναυδος με την συμπεριφορά τους απέναντι της. Ανθρωπιά σε όλο της το μεγαλείο. Τέτοια μεταχείριση με τέτοια ενσυναίσθηση αμφιβάλω εάν έχω ξαναδεί στην ζωή μου. Παίρνουν τρις και εξήντα, το προσωπικό ελάχιστο, οι εξοπλισμοί μετρημένοι στα δάχτυλα, οι συνθήκες αντίξοες, η κρατική ενίσχυση άφαντη και πάρα ταύτα οι άνθρωποι, πρωτίστως άνθρωποι. Σας ευχαριστώ και ελπίζω κάποια στιγμή το κράτος να ενισχύσει επιτέλους τις δομές υγείας για να φανεί αυτό το προτέρημα που σας ξεχωρίζει.
 Today in the Municipality of Oropos came EKAB for my mother, as she came out positive in Koronovios, the previous days she had a fever and with today's "finally incorrect" measurements her oxygen was below 90. However, even though the oxygen came out so low my mother as she is a "difficult" person she refused to go see a doctor or go to the hospital. So I had to call EKAB to take measurements, to see her and if we need to go inside.
EKAB came with 2 lads. I explained the situation to them and told them that my mother does not "cooperate" easily. I was really stunned by their attitude towards her. Humanity in all its glory. I doubt if I have ever seen such treatment with such empathy in my life. They get three and sixty, the minimum staff, the equipment measured on the fingers, the adverse conditions, the state aid is useless and yet the people, primarily people. Thank you and I hope that at some point the state will finally strengthen the health structures to show this asset that stands out to you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ήρθαν ταχύτατα και με συνθήκες κακοκαιρίας να βοηθήσουν την μητέρα μου στην Καισαριανή που είχε χαμηλό οξυγόνο. Ευγένεια, αίσθημα προσφοράς, σεβασμός προς τον ηλικιωμένο και την αξία της ζωής. ΄Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ από τα βάθη της καρδιάς μου!!!
They came quickly and in bad weather to help my mother in Kaisariani who had low oxygen. Kindness, a sense of offering, respect for the elderly and the value of life. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Επιεικώς απαράδεκτοι. Κάλεσα για περιστατικό υπερήλικα που είχε πέσει από το ποδήλατο και δεν μπορούσε να κουνήσει τον ώμο του. Η ειρωνία που εξέλαβα ήταν άνευ προηγουμένου… «περιμένετε να στείλω ασθενοφόρο για τον ώμο;» Ήταν η απάντηση που πήρα. Γενικά έχετε συναίσθηση του τι λέτε ή σας αρέσει απλά να παίζετε με τον πόνο του αλλου;
Forgivingly unacceptable. I called for an incident of an elderly man who had fallen off his bicycle and could not move his shoulder. The irony I received was unprecedented… "are you waiting for me to send an ambulance for the shoulder?" That was the answer I got. Are you generally aware of what you are saying or do you just like to play with the other person's pain?

I had to visit the hospital by taxi eventually.
