See you soon :-)
BEST HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE ... were my son's words! we had a fantastic week at the MOm Dolphin project, learned a lot and learned about the impressive creatures. We were also lucky not only to see and watch dolphins on our daily tours, but also to see the monk seals that live there. Kimon, with all my heart Vollblut_Biologe shares extensive information about the animals, their behavior, etc. and last but not least the documentation of the Finns makes the program incredibly exciting. In addition to the "daily work", the enjoyment does not fall by the wayside, delicious lunch times on the boat, paradisiacal bays for snorkeling, excursions, ... etc A privilege to be able to experience this wonderful "work" in this environment. Many thanks to the entire team, Chantel & Dimitra for the organization in advance, and Kimon & Costas for the best guides on water and on land. We have therefore decided to be there again this year and are very happy. See you soon :-)

We have partnered with Natural Greece for organizing outdoor activities for our global volunteers and our Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. Greece team. We all had an amazing time when participating in the Mediterranean Monk Seal expedition to Leichadonissia, the nature hike in the Athens Riviera and sea-kayaking at the Varkiza coast! Chantel and her team went out of their way when organizing our tours and we greatly appreciate their professional and reliable services as well as their warm and friendly communication. Our Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. team and our global volunteers learned so much from the expert tour leaders about the unique animals and eco-systems in Greece and had an opportunity to explore some great places and enjoy the outdoors in the Attika region. We look forward to participating in forthcoming tours with Natural Greece!

We (my wife and I, both 70+) birded for a day around Athens with Natural Greece on Sunday 3rd October 2021. Sunday was the worst possible day to go on but we were about to start a coach tour of archaeological sites so there was no choice. Our main guide was Dimitra Christidi. We had two guides for the price of one, which we were quite happy with. Dimitras grandmother also deserves praise for teaching her to cook so well. We had a home made Greek picnic lunch with Spanakopita. For those of you who don’t know, Spanakopita is a savoury Greek pie made of layers of filo dough and a filling of spinach and feta cheese. In the UK you can buy ready made filo pastry from any supermarket but such labour saving devices would not meet with approval of Dimitra’s grandmother. All the logistics worked perfectly. (If they can do it why can’t everybody?). We were able to book the day and pay for it using a credit card via PayPal, all over the internet. We were picked up at 7:00am as arranged, which required a packed breakfast that we got by having a tantrum in the lobby in spite of having requested it twice previously. We went to three sites: Mount Hymettus Schinias National Park and the Rowing Centre Vravrona Wetland The early start was necessary at Mount Hymettus. By the time we were finished the roads were lined with parked cars and the joggers, cyclists and dog walkers were out in force. Dimitra found a Red-breasted Flycatcher for us, in a group of Spotted Flycatchers, although we were unable to get the glasses on it. Typically it was a female/juvenile rather that the breeding male portrayed in the bird books. Spotted Flycatchers have been long gone in the UK but Greece is way south of the UK. The Rowing Centre (beware of super fast cyclists pounding round the rowing course) produced Ferruginous Duck (which could be ever present here, but is super rare in the UK) and a late Red-rumped Swallow. The Vravrona Wetland was disturbed by dog walkers but still produced a Wood Sandpiper, another of these birds that is regarded as a “nice bird” in the UK. The skill in these day trips is to balance the time taken in driving with the likelihood of seeing super birds. This is what we want from our bird guides, and in my view that is what Natural Greece delivered.

Me and my family joined the Mediterranean Monk Seal Trip in July 2021. We had two amazing days with the guide Christos and the seals. The guide was really professional and we got a lot of new and useful knowledge about the seals, other marine animals and birds. During the trip we saw 4-5 seals, two dolphins, a float of tuna hunting for sardines, some jelly fish, two Shags, about 50 Yelkouan Shearwaters, two species of terns and three species of gulls. I would highly recommend this trip to those who love nature and want to know more about it. On behalf of my family I want to say a big thank you to 'Natural Greece' for organising such a wonderful trip for us.
