 If you are in Volos it is worth visiting! Nice experience for young and old! The Geologist who guided us in the area was amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Αν και μικρό είναι πολύ όμορφο. Ιδιαίτερα εντυπωσιακό το απολίθωμα οστού από πόδι μαμούθ. Η κοπέλα που μας υποδέχτηκε και μας ξεναγούσε ήταν καταπληκτική!!! Εξηγούσε τα πάντα σχετικά με τα εκθέματα ήταν ευγενέστατη και φιλικότατη. Άψογη!!!
Although small it is very beautiful. The mammoth leg bone fossil is particularly impressive. The girl who welcomed us and guided us was amazing !!! She explained everything about the exhibits she was very kind and very friendly. Flawless !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicely set up museum with a very well chosen collection of minerals and fossils from Greece (both marine and terrestrial, the pieces of the Mammoth are a must see). There is also a nice little room about human evolution !
Perfectly sized for your kids, with lots of pedagogic activities ranging from fossils excavation to dinosaurs skeleton assembly, they will be taken care by Angeliki, a true geologist and passionate speleologist !! The ideal place to spark a strong interest for natural history and earth sciences !
