I visit the Idolio Gallery every year on my trips to Crete. A special trip into Hersonissos is never wasted and all the incredible items I’ve purchased there in the past are always committed on by friends and family. The staff are so friendly too. My latest gift to myself, a large orange cat statue, so unique and lovely. Very much worth a visit if you are in the area.

Bought two pieces this week and really impressed by them. Service is great, felt the selection is more exclusive as I haven't spotted them elsewhere like you usually do. Prices are fair for the quality, this is above the general tourism jewellery elsewhere. Well worth a visit! I've bought a necklace and bracelet, there is a wide selection though.

Oh my gosh! I love this place! The owners are so kind and helpful. I especially love the wife. (Im bad with names). She was amazing! There is no pressure to buy or manipulation of "how good this or that looks on you." She has a gift of analyzing a person and knowing your style and what would look good on you. I LOVE that! My experience there (I went 3 days) was that of authenticity. She loves what she does. It is not just a means to an end for her (Maria maybe?) She is not a typical salesperson. Very rare indeed. I came in the first day. Looked around. Saw many unique, beautiful things but I'm not one to spend my money on jewelry, I'd rather spend it at a home improvement store. Anyway, I left the first day but went back to my resort with images floating around in my head of artistic, unique jewelry in my head as I drifted off to sleep. The next day I went back and "Maria" was there. I believe (im not sure though) I encountered her husband the first day. Regardless, she helped me find what I was looking for, for my look. My daughter was with me. She bought a ring that needed to be sized, hence the 3rd day back. "Maria" had a ring on her finger, a ring she had shown me the day before but I thought was too loud or large or gaudy for me. She took it off her finger and I put it on my hand. I fell in love with it. It fit me perfectly. I LOVED that ring. My favorite thing I bought in my 3 weeks in Greece, hands down. Unfortunately I lost it on my travels home to the USA. Im still devastated about losing it. I cried when I walked into my home after a very long day of traveling to discover I lost my most sacred gift from Greece somewhere along the way. Anyway, you should definitely stop in this store. It is art. Not trinkets. Well worth the price. Unless you pull an Anna and lose it.

Beautiful shop. Go to it every time we are in Crete. It's got wonderful craft items, hand made jewelry,pictures,sculptures,glass etc. So so much to see. Bought a fabulous piece to go on our wall,which we had seen previously and it was that 'if it's still there it's meant to be' moment. Run by really lovely people, not hard selling, just friendly and happy for us to brows. I Love this shop!
