Arrived late. The first thing we noticed was the pool and hot ribwere emptied. 2nd. we were offered a pool view which meant no steps as I am disabled. We were taken around the baxk with lots of wet steps and absolutely no view except a building site. no water even as a welcome had to beg for some hot water for tea. first night jere and want to leave before I break my neck. so dissappointed. false advertisement. if the shut down for winter they should advertise it.

Lovely room and pool, the staffs are nice, but need to walk like 20 mins to Fira’s main shopping street

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Nikolas, for me my stay was made pleasant because of the staff friendly, informative, and going the extra mile for their guests. A young girl was especially sweet and is an asset to their team. Rooms were basic but sweet, I appreciated the traditional shutters and cute balcony area. Breakfast was nice and again friendly staff. I travelled to Santorini alone and felt safe my entire stay at Hotel Nikolas. Thank you Eleanor London

Please beware if booking this hotel. We booked this hotel based on the lovely images and general newish look and feel of the hotel. On arrival, we were shown to our “superior” room which was actually in a block completely detached from the actual hotel, only accessible via a dusty backstreet which also resembled a building site in some places. The “superior” room we were given looked nothing like the lovely brochure images you are presented with on booking. It was In fact a dated and tired old room with a “sea view” that you could see a fraction of the sea in the horizon miles away through other random buildings. Unsure how they get away with advertising a sea view based off this view the room had but anyway. The mattress was rock solid and the bathroom had an incredibly small shower cubicle. The ‘hot tub’ was also completely drained/empty and filthy! Eventually, after around an hour of deliberation away from the hotel, we decided this was definitely not what we had booked and opted to change accommodation and stay somewhere else better suited to us and also somewhere a lot closer to Fira as apposed to a backstreet in a neighbouring town 20 minutes walk away. Upon raising our concerns to who I assume was the owner - she was a lot more confrontational than anticipated, instead of kindly understanding our concern and that the accommodation was just not for us and the images were very misleading. It turned out the “superior” room we booked was Infact not the room shown on most of the hotels images but actually a MORE expensive room which surprised us greatly as there was nothing “superior” about this room in the slightest. She at first was demanding a 100% payment cancellation policy which was laughable to say we had set foot in the room for all of 10 minutes. She then quickly reverted to us having to pay 2 days to cancel to which we still contested but paid for the sake of leaving. We are now contesting this charge via booking.com customer services as it is still unjust in our opinion. I have also noted various other reviews which follow a reoccurring theme to our complaint about misleading images/booking. The only positive from this place was the lovely male receptionist who first greeted us on our arrival. He was definitely one of the nicest guys we met on our Greek Island hopping holiday, albeit our encounter was brief. IMPORTANT: Do not use the hotels preferred choice for ATV/Moto Hire - ‘Nikos Vazeos’. (Situated around the block from the hotel) Please read my review on their Google Maps page for more detail but they essentially tried scamming us (U.K. Tourists) when returning our hire, claiming we had not paid them even though we had the bank transaction to prove otherwise. They then changed their minds when we rang the police for assistance. There is an abundance of ATV hire companies in Fira for the same price, if not cheaper, so I strongly recommend finding your own. All together a dismal experience. Lots of other great options closer to Fira.

Nice hotel perfect for our needs. Bad review posted a month ago references lots of negatives but seems they either had too high standards or didn’t do any research into their trip. 15 minute walk from Fira but we knew that before booking. Sea view was exactly that, it may have been a fraction of the ocean but it was there. Jacuzzis were out of use as mentioned before we arrived due to covid, so not a problem. Rooms were spotless and fresh towels given daily. It was quiet when we visited but that was fine as we were out every day. Continental breakfast was a lovely touch and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Bus stop 4 minutes away which goes to all the main destinations south of the island, but it can be tricky to work out when the busses will arrive so would suggest using the main station in Fira. ATV rental place 3 minute walk away (see other review) couldn’t have been easier and a great way to see the island.
