★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το κτίριο χτίστηκε στα μέσα του 19ου αιώνα σε χώρο δίπλα στον Κήπο των Ηρώων που παραχώρησε ο Δήμος Μεσολογγίου στο Ιδρυμα Αδελφών Χατζηκώστα με σκοπό να χτιστεί το πρώτο νοσοκομείο της πόλης. Το κτίριο χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως νοσοκομείο μέχρι το 1999, οπότε το νοσοκομείο της πόλης μεταφέρθηκε σε νέο κτίριο. Από τότε παραμένει εγκατελειμένο και σταδιακά καταστρέφεται.
 The building was built in the middle of the 19th century in an area next to the Garden of Heroes donated by the Municipality of Messolonghi to the Hatzikostas Brothers Foundation in order to build the first hospital in the city. The building was used as a hospital until 1999, when the city hospital was moved to a new building. Since then it remains abandoned and gradually destroyed.
