Where do I start? Good location close to Kalamaki Beach. Great delicatessen, stocked with authentic Greek produce sourced from the best locations, with a taverna section serving the best food in Athens. Staffed by wonderful, young, enthusiastic people serving their customers with genuine hospitality, who are always eager to please. What a wonderful discovery! Not on the well-trodden tourist path. Worth making the effort to find, as all gems should be. Enjoy!!!

A	Anargyros Karakalas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Starting with the pros, the food is very good and the ingredients seem of good quality! However, one of the most important cons is the attitude of the staff and how they handle the financial aspect of the transaction. When we asked for the bill we were not given directly the receipt and we had to ask twice to pay using a card to get the actual receipt. Also, the menu states that there is a 10% discount when buying products from the in-store market. We bought something that initially was charged without the discount, so we had to ask if it applies or not. They then calculated 1/6 of the discount and returned it in cash. Of course, we mentioned that the discount was wrong and left the store without accepting to receive the extra credit since it is the attitude that matters and not a few cents. Finally, a minor note, it is always a good practice to ask the guests if they want bottled or tap water and bread. Bringing it without asking implies that the guests cannot refuse it.

The service is amazing, with Thodoris being your perfect guide in your culinary exploration. You should definitely try skioufikta, fava and accompany with the house tsikoudia to experience a bit of Crete in Athens! The restaurant has a great selection of products as well, directly from producers! Highly recommended overall for both lunch/dinner and authentic Greek products.

It was a lovely little local restaurant with delicious food and excellent fun service. Thodoris (I think) served us and he was super good plus a barrel of laughs!!
