Οργανώνει, συνδιοργανώνει συνέδρια και ημερίδες (μέχρι σήμερα >2500), αλλά και φιλοξενεί συνέδρους στα δύο κτίρια της ΟΑ Κρήτης . Επιπλέον υπάρχουν δανειστική βιβλιοθήκη, βοτανικό μουσείο και δύο παρεκκλήσια σ έναν όμορφο χώρο που ατενίζει το Κρητικό πέλαγος. Μπορείτε να ξεναγηθείτε από το ευγενικό και φιλόξενο προσωπικό της Ακαδημίας. Εμάς μας ξενάγησε με προθυμία, υπομονή και γλαφυρότητα ο κ. Γιάννης Μουντογιαννάκης. Conference center that was founded in 1965 and started operating in 1968. It organizes, co-organizes conferences and workshops (until today> 2500), but also hosts conferences in the two buildings of OA Crete. In addition, there is a lending library, a botanical museum and two chapels in a beautiful area overlooking the Cretan Sea. You can be guided by the kind and hospitable staff of the Academy. Mr. Giannis Mountogiannakis guided us with willingness, patience and sharpness.
Ε	Ελευθερία Κουλετάκη on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένας χώρος όπου μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει εκτός από τις εργασίες και τα συνέδρια της Εκκλησίας, σεμινάρια και άλλες εκδηλώσεις. Βρίσκεται στο Κολυμβάρι Χανίων λίγο μετά την Ιερά Μονή Οδηγήτριας Παναγίας Γωνιάς. Έχει υπέροχη θέα στη θάλασσα. A place where it can host in addition to the work and conferences of the Church, seminars and other events. It is located in Kolymvari, Chania, shortly after the Holy Monastery of Hodegetria Panagia Gonia. It has a wonderful sea view.
S	Smith P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The OAC is slightly off beat location in Crete. You can Travel here by your own vehicle or hire a car service (which is costly). The Orthodox academy hosts many conferences and workshops. You can avail a room for a stay here. It has beautiful view of the Mediterranean sea. The food options available are both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian category. There are veriety of options available which are made by localites and usually taste superb. Few of the dishes that I tried include, 1. Spinach Puff 2. Fried Okra 3. Fresh Fruits 4. Greek salad (of course) 5. Beans (Guess what- I am not vegetarian and I missed eating those boiled duck eggs, becon etc). The hospitality is simply amazing. The staff is very very friendly and cooperative. They help you with every possible query you might have. The rooms are kept clean and hygienic. The car parking is available.
D	Damn Google on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in wonderful landscape. Also, always someone at the reception. But: - windows of the conference rooms are closed with cardboards so that no lights come in because the projectors are not bright enough. Consequently one does not see anything from the beautiful landscape but sits in dark, artificially lighted rooms like in a cellar. - The technical equipment is old and partially does not work at all. Not even Windows and Office are activated. - The sound protection is poor and if people are talking in front of the conference rooms, speakers are hard to understand. - The hotel rooms are expensive but poorly and old equipped. - The highly praised food is very expensive as well but does not taste well. Overall, it was a surprisingly bad experience.
