★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μαγευτική θέα σχεδόν από τα 2.000 μέτρα. Το μονοπάτι για κορυφή ξεκινά από το ορειβατικό καταφύγιο. Έχει πολύ καλή σήμανση και όχι ιδιαίτερα απότομη κλίση. Στην κορυφή θα βρεις ένα εκκλησάκι και ένα ντουλάπι με βιβλίο επισκεπτών. Μην ξεχάσεις να καταχωρίσεις την επίσκεψη σου. Αυτό που εντυπωσιάζει στην κορυφή είναι η δυνατότητα να δεις 360 μοίρες τριγύρω σου τις αμέτρητες κορυφές και βουνά. Αν είσαι λοιπόν στα πέριξ μην παραλείψεις αυτή την σύντομη (1 ώρα περίπου) αλλά χορταστική ανάβαση στην Οστρακίνα!
Magnificent view from almost 2,000 meters. The path to the top starts from the mountain shelter. It has very good markings and not very steep slope. At the top you will find a small church and a cupboard with a guest book. Do not forget to register your visit. What impresses at the top is the ability to see 360 degrees around you countless peaks and mountains. So if you are around do not miss this short (about 1 hour) but satisfying climb to Ostrakina!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μετά από σύντομο ( μίας ώρας ) σχετικά περπάτημα ακολουθώντας καλά σηματοδοτημένο μονοπάτι που ξεκινά από το καταφύγιο του Μαινάλου( που βρίσκεται δίπλα στο χιονοδρομικό ), φτάνει κάποιος στην υψηλότερη κορυφή του Μαινάλου. Με λίγη τύχη ώστε να είναι καθαρή η μέρα φαίνονται όλες οι ψηλές κορυφές της Πελοποννήσου. Αξίζει σίγουρα μίας επίσκεψης η Οστρακίνα.
After a relatively short (one hour) walk following a well-marked path that starts from the shelter of Mainalo (located next to the ski resort), one reaches the highest peak of Mainalo. With a little luck so that the day is clear, all the high peaks of the Peloponnese can be seen. Ostrakina is definitely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το Μαίναλο είναι βουνό στο κέντρο της Πελοποννήσου στον νομό Αρκαδίας με υψηλότερη κορυφή στα 1.981μ. την Οστρακίνα. Από το Μαίναλο πηγάζουν δύο παραπόταμοι του Αλφειού, ο Λούσιος και ο Ελισσώνας. Στη θέση "Οροπέδιο της Οστρακίνας" κοντά στην κορυφή του Μαινάλου και σε υψόμετρο 1600μ., βρίσκεται σύγχρονο χιονοδρομικό κέντρο και ορειβατικό καταφύγιο. Στην αρχαιότητα το βουνό ήταν το βασίλειο του θεού Πάνα. Η διαδρομή από το καταφύγιο Πάνος Αλεξόπουλος στα 1650μ μέχρι τη κορυφή διαρκεί κάτι παραπάνω από μια ώρα.
