★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πανέμορφο γραφικό εκκλησάκι μέσα σε ένα μαγευτικό τοπίο με αιωνόβια πανύψηλα πλατάνια, δίπλα στο ρέμα Ξηριάς που δυστυχώς τώρα είναι ξηρό. Γύρω του περιβάλλεται από το υγιές πευκοδάσος της Β. Εύβοιας με την ποικίλη βλάστηση, πουρνάρια, κουμαριές, ρείκια κ.α. Μιά χαριτωμένη βρυσούλα στο χώρο προσφέρει δροσερό νερό στον διψασμένο διαβάτη- περαστικό. Το εκκλησάκι βρίσκεται πάνω στον δημόσιο δρόμο που συνδέει την Ιστιαία με τα χωριά Μονοκαρυά- Μηλιές- Κρυονερίτη, λίγο μετά την Μονοκαρυά. Κάθε δεκαπενταύγουστο γίνεται εκεί μικρό παραδοσιακό πανηγυράκι, ενώ πολλοί ρομαντικοί το επιλέγουν για γάμους και βαφτίσια.
Beautiful picturesque chapel in a magnificent scenery with centuries-old plane trees, beside the Xiria stream, which unfortunately now is dry. Around it is surrounded by the healthy pine forest of Northern Evia with its varied vegetation, holm-trees, coumaris, heathers and others. A cute bow on the site offers cool water to the thirsty passer- passer. The chapel is located on the public road that connects Istiea with the villages Monokarya-Milies-Kryoneritis, just after Monokarya. Every 15th of August there is a small traditional festivity, while many romantics choose it for weddings and baptisms.
