It is worth the climb up there and the view will take your breath away. Go at sunset. It's incredibly worth it.

Church of excellent aesthetics with magnificent views of the Aegean Sea! Excellent sunset, the sun is lost in the sea in summer.
If you visit the church, it is worth going up a little more and visiting the nearby monastery of Zoodochos Pigi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ανεβαίνοντας στο μοναστήρι της Ζωοδόχου πηγής συναντάμε την εκκλησία της Παναγιάς της Παντοχαρας.Προκειται για το αφιέρωμα του Οδυσσέα Ελύτη στην Παναγία την Παντοχαρα.Την ανέγερση ανέλαβε η σύντροφος της ζωής του Ιουλιτα Ηλιοπούλου. Ο Ελύτης δεν επισκέφτηκε ποτέ το νησί όμως το εξυμνησε μέσα από τα ποιήματα του .Του άρεσε επίσης το Αιγαίο, το ελληνικό φώς ,η αυθεντικότητα του νησιού.
Going up to the monastery of Zoodochos Pigi we meet the church of Panagia Pantohara. It is the tribute of Odysseus Elytis to Panagia Pantohara. The construction was undertaken by the life partner of Ioulita Iliopoulou. Elytis never visited the island but praised it through his poems. He also liked the Aegean, the Greek light, the authenticity of the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little church is a must see.It was Elyttis's final wish which was fulfilled by his lover postmortum.It has great views of the sunset and Chora.It's a great photo opportunity.If you walk further up the stairs you can also visit a small monastery.
