Was quite busy but not full. We waited a long time before anyone even acknowledged us and brought the usual paper table covering to cover the filthy table. The floor was also dirty with a soiled fork on the floor near the table.
We ordered a starter and 2 mains, requesting the starter before the main course.
The starter arrived followed after 2 minutes by my husband’s main course.
My main did not arrive. As my husband finished his main course a staff member finally came over and asked if I still wanted my main course, he apologised and said the order had been lost. By this time I did not feel like eating on my own as my husband had finished so declined. We were offered a glass of ouzo on the house but declined as felt the evening had been ruined and apart from a single ‘sorry’ when they came to tell me my order was forgotten nobody came near to make amends.
Sadly the worst experience of our many hundreds of meals eaten in the whole of Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best of the beachside restaurants around. It’s possible to sit directly on the beach. Food was good, nothing special though prices were moderate and service friendly and quick.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lamb shank in lemon. Pork in tomato sauce is great. Good portions. Very close to Chapel and beach. Very friendly service. You can see the prepared dishes before you order. Also have good toilet

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the atmosphere and food! The staff was personal and sweet as well. The owner showed my husband and I the restaurant’s display of prepared foods and fish selection. It was impressive! We ordered grilled fish (chosen from his selection), grilled octopus, and a salad.We’ll surely be back! We truly enjoyed our experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here during the week at the start of the season in early May for a drink during a walk as the setting was so nice. There was no one else here so hence we just had a drink and no food.
It’s such a beautiful setting opposite the beach but with a set of seating on the beach in the shade under the trees.
It’s also near the Saint Nicholas church which is lovely to walk to and visit.
When we came back a few days later at the weekend it was absolutely full !! It seemed like it was mainly full of Greeks but vibe was lovely. Can’t comment on the food.
