This is a taverna in the traditional sense of the word, but secretly serves gourmet dishes in the guise of strictly classic Greek cuisine. Their special secret lies in the loving care of the chef/owner steeped in years of accurately kept tradition, and accentuated by his own fine personally encoded in unforgettable taste and aroma. “Geia sta cheria sas” is what Greeks say to someone who makes something of superb quality. It is a blessing that literally means “health to your hands”. Use the quote if you too enjoyed a “Paradisiako” meal as much as I did tonight.

There is also a cosy terasse outside. We ate mussels with feta cheese sauce and seafood risotto. It was excellet. The service is litlle informal but friendly.

The vegetarian food is out of this world: fresh, local, and cooked with love. The bread is served hot with oil, the tomato keftedes are amazing, the fava was sumptuous, etc etc. Eat here!
A	Adam Haj Yahia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Hydra for 6 days, and ate in almost every restaurant on the island. This is by far the best greek cuisine we had in Hydra, everything was delicious, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Paradosiakó is a must in Hydra!!!!!
R	Riki Ross on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They forgot our reservation so dragged a fold-out table away from the rest of the diners next to a convenience store. Much to their surprise we weren’t exactly happy so they eventually moved us closer into the restaurant but due to the lack of space we had to sit in a last supper like formation for the 6 of us. This didn’t exactly aid conversation but I guess didn’t ruin the evening. Food is good in parts: prawns were large and smoky, squid ink risotto had a lovely bite to it and was exploding with flavour, saganaki mussels (my first) were also good. However so much as just bad. Chips weren’t even fried, lamb chops no salt on them and were chewy, fennel pie was actually overcooked spinach.

We ended up eating chicken which was excellent and delicious but our main goal was not to eat chicken on an island. Anyway, we really appreciated the dessert at the end and the candies !
