My family and I have so many happy memories that it’s difficult to know where to begin. As the pictures reveal Villa Thalassa itself is simply gorgeous and superbly located, a real ‘home from home’ with the added attraction of a private pool and patio to laze the time away. We treasure those hot, balmy days and magical sunsets, the view from the pool area and balconies across the olive grove, down to the beach and out to sea with various boats bobbing past. ‘VT’ is secluded but certainly not remote, with the picturesque little harbour community of Loggos barely 10-15 minutes away on foot. Visitors are certain of a warm and friendly welcome, not only from villa owner George and his extremely kind and helpful family but also from the restaurants and shopkeepers both locally and elsewhere dotted around the island. And if any further recommendation were needed, please note that our family spent two weeks at Villa Thalassa in summer 2012 and again in 2013, the very first time we have visited the same holiday destination two years running. It’s that good, but don’t simply take our word for it – discover for yourself. We should also mention that getting to Paxos is straightforward and very reasonable via the hydrofoil service from Corfu. So that’s about it. This year will be the third time we have stayed at Villa Thalassa. Paxos is a lovely island and we particularly like Loggos with its picturesque harbour, bars and tavernas. So, for us, Thalassa is well placed providing seclusion and lovely views over the sea but still only a pleasant 15 minute walk (down the donkey steps) from Loggos. Another favourite spot is Lakka which is a short drive away. Thalassa is accurately described on the website and is well equipped and maintained. We usually have the little beach below the villa to ourselves for our pre- breakfast swim. George and his family are friendly and helpful and, overall, it is difficult to find fault with any aspect of Villa Thalassa. We would certainly be happy to recommend it to friends/ family.
