★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good alternative to Fiskardo. Sunset views (albeit across the main road) and a nice old fashioned feel. Loads of veggie and even vegan options but I (really) recommend the meatballs. Great breakfasts too although the fruit juice and coffee seemed expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped on the way back to Argostoli after visiting Fiscardo overnight & called at Picnic for breakfast. Firstly we had great flat whites the only ones we have found so far on Kefalonia, then the food we had was absolutely delicious! Just WOW....... pancakes with fresh fruit, french toast with mascarpone & home made fig preserve, full English for hubby, everything mouthful tasty! Do yourselves a favour don’t drive past stop & call in even if it’s just for coffee! Oh & great friendly staff & service too! ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went on a Saturday night and the food was lovely and the atmosphere great thanks to a live singer. Booking early is a good idea to definitely get in.We left it late but got lucky that there was space in the garden. Would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little taverna in the small village of Magganos. Very vegetarian/vegan friendly. Delicious food - salads were amazing and kept us going all day. We visited a few times for coffee/smoothies/lunch. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English - and even taught me a little Greek! They also do the whole menu to take out.
