★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μικρή συμπαθητική ταβερνούλα στο πολύ ωραίο χωριό την Καστανιά, κάτω από τον υπέροχο ίσκιο του αγερωχου πλατανου. Της ώρας, ωραίες γεύσεις, και τιμές μιας άλλης εποχής.... Αξίζει η επίσκεψη!!
 A small nice tavern in the very nice village of Kastania, under the wonderful shade of the towering plane tree. Of the hour, nice flavors, and prices of another era .... Worth a visit !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Άψογη εξυπηρέτηση, όλα πολύ ωραία, πήραμε σουβλάκια, πατάτες τηγανιτές, χωριάτικη σαλάτα (τέλεια ντομάτα, μάλλον από τον κήπο τους). Με θέα παλιά εκκλησία και πύργο!! Κάτω από πλατάνια σε πανέμορφο ελληνικό μανιάτικο χωριό.Θα ήθελα όμως να είχε και την τοπική μπύρα ΝΕΜΑ η οποία είναι καταπληκτική.
Flawless service, all very nice, we got skewers, french fries, village salad (perfect tomato, probably from their garden). Overlooking an old church and tower !! Under plane trees in a beautiful Greek Mani village. But I would like to have the local NEMA beer which is amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wil je echt Grieks eten in een heel klein restaurantje tussen de Grieken op een pleintje van een dorpje waar de weg gewoon stopt, dan moet je hier gaan eten. Niet alles op de kaart is te bestellen. Maar wat op tafel komt is heerlijk, wordt ter plekke bereid en spotgoedkoop.
If you want real Greek food in a very small restaurant between the Greeks on a square of a village where the road just stops, then you have to eat here. Not everything on the card can be ordered. But what is served is delicious, prepared on the spot and very cheap.

Homemade food, good products, very good price.
Wonderful pair, Fanis and Maria. They're very kind.
The village is also wonderful. The tavern is on the main square, under a big tree. It has a special atmosphere sitting there for a dinner.
We were in a nearby village and went for dinner every evening.
