★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η πλατεία του χωριού, ένα μέρος όπου ζήσαμε τα παιδικά μας χρόνια. Χρόνια γεμάτα αναμνήσεις γεμάτα καλοσύνη. Δεν υπάρχει άσχημο μέρος πού να μπορεί να προσφέρει όμορφες αναμνήσεις. Δυστυχώς όμως υπάρχουν μέρη πού τα ξεχνάμε τα παραμελούμε καί τα αφήνουμε, δυστυχώς έγινε καί η πλατεία μας ένα από αυτά τα μέρη καί με θλίβει βαθύτατα.
The village square, a place where we lived in our childhood. Happy, full of memories full of kindness. There is no ugly place where it can offer beautiful memories. Unfortunately, however, there are places where we forget to forget them and leave them, unfortunately our square has become one of these places and it sadens me deeply.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σήμερα ήταν ημέρα μνήμης για την γενοκτονία των Ελλήνων του Πόντου για την συμπλήρωση 100 χρόνων από την σφαγή και τον ζεριζωμο των Ελλήνων από τις εστίες τους . Στην Νέα Βίγλα είχαν εγκατασταθεί αρκετοί πρόσφυγες μετά τον διωγμό του 1919 και δημιούργησαν μια κοινότητα και μας μετεφεραν τον πολιτισμό και τις γνώσεις τους σχετικά με τις τέχνες και τις επιστήμες.Ολα αυτά τα χρόνια διατήρησαν τα ήθη και τα έθιμά τους και κρατησαν ζωντανή την παράδοση γιατί Λαός χωρίς μνήμες από το παρελθον και διατήρηση των παραδόσεων δεν υφίσταται.Σημερα λοιπον έγινε μνημόσυνο στην πλατεία παρουσία των τοπικών αρχών και κατάθεση στεφάνων με την ελπίδα ότι θα έλθει δικαίωση για τον άδικο χαμό ενός ολόκληρου Λαού και ευχόμαστε να μην επαναληφθούν αυτά τα φοβερά εγκλήματα σε κανενα Λαό.
