Διαθέτει φυσική αυλή, και αφήνουν τα παιδιά να παίζουν έξω πολύ, οχι μονο ενα μισάωρο που συνιθίζεται σε άλλα σχολεία. Τα παιδιά έχουν την ευκαιρία να παίξουν ελεύθερα με το χώμα και τις λάσπες, να ανακαλύψουν μόνα τους παιχνίδια, να επινοήσουν τους δικούς τους κανόνες και να μοιράζονται. Στο σχολεί αυτο, τα παιδιά λυνουν τις διαφορές τους ΜΟΝΑ ΤΟΥΣ μεσα απο την καθοδηγηση των δασκάλων, οι οποίοι επίσης τα μαθαίνουν να ειναι υπεύθυνα για τα πράγματά τους και τα παρακινουν να αυτο-εξυπηρετούνται... Ο στόχος είναι μεγαλώνοντας να γίνονται υπέυθυνα, ανεξάρτητα, μαθημένα να συζητούν τα προβλήματά τους και να αναζητούν λύσεις σε αυτά μέσα απο τη συζήτηση, μονα τους αντι να περιμένουν καποιον άλλο να βρει λυση για αυτά. Εχουν ωραίες δράσεις (π.χ. για την ανακυκλωση, για τη φροντίδα των ζώων) και προσεγγίζουν με ωραίο τρόπο ευαίσθητα θέματα όπως ο πόλεμος και η δημοκρατία (μέσα απο βιβλία, θεατρικό παιχνίδι, συζητήσεις κλπ) This school is an exception in the schools of Heraklion. It has a backyard, and they let the kids play outside a lot, not just the half-hour that is commonplace in other schools. Children have the opportunity to play freely with dirt and mud, to discover toys themselves, to devise their own rules and to share. In this school, children solve their differences ONLY through the guidance of teachers, who also teach them to be responsible for their own things and to motivate them to be self-serving ... The goal is to grow responsibly, independently , learning to discuss their problems and seek solutions to them through the discussion, instead of waiting for someone else to find a solution to them. They have nice actions (eg on recycling, animal care) and they approach beautifully sensitive issues such as war and democracy (through books, theatrical plays, discussions etc)
M	Maria Chalkiadaki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μόνο θετικά πράγματα μπορώ να πω για τον παιδικό σταθμό του play &learn: - Τα τμήματα αποτελούνται από μικρό αριθμό παιδιών. - Τα παιδιά μπορούν να κάνουν καλή και ομαλή προσαρμογή - με την παρουσία του γονέα για όσο χρειάζεται. - Διαθέτει φυσική αυλή που τα παιδιά μπορούν να παίξουν ελεύθερα και να έρθουν σε επαφή με το φυσικό περιβάλλον. - Αρκετό ελεύθερο παιχνίδι αλλά και πολύ ωραίες οργανωμένες δραστηριότητες από τις δασκάλες. - Οι δασκάλες βοηθούν στην αυτονομία, ανεξαρτησία και ελευθερία των παιδιών, εστιάζοντας ταυτόχρονα στις διαφορετικές ανάγκες του κάθε παιδιού. - Επαφή με τα αγγλικά με βιωματικό τρόπο. - Καλή επικοινωνία με τις δασκάλες και με την διευθύντρια και πάντα πρόθυμες να ακούσουν και να ανταποκριθούν στις διαφορετικές απαιτήσεις των γονιών. The only positive things I can say about the play & learn kindergarten: - The sections consist of a small number of children. - Children can adjust well and smoothly - with the parent present as needed. - It has a natural courtyard where children can play freely and get in touch with the natural environment. - Enough free play and very well organized activities by the teachers. - Teachers help the children's autonomy, independence and freedom while focusing on the different needs of each child. - Experiment with English in an experiential way. - Good communication with teachers and with the principal and always willing to listen and respond to different parenting requirements.

Όπως καταλαβαίνετε το έργο μου καθημερινά είναι αρκετά δύσκολο. Θεωρό τον εαυτό μου τυχερό που έλαβε μέρος σε αυτή την προσπάθεια σας και ως μητέρα και ως εκπαιδευτικός αργότερα. Η πληροφορίες ήταν αρκετές και μερικές από αυτές τροφή για σκέψη και αναθεώρηση σε αρκετά πράγματα. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ. Εύχομαι σύντομα και σε ένα επόμενο εξίσου εποικοδομητικό σεμινάριο. The children will come out speaking both better English and learn Greek. Clean and fresh inside and a fun outdoors yard too. The mix of local kids and children new to Heraklion Crete is what makes it beautiful.
