Ήταν ιδιοκτησία του Γεώργιου Αβέρωφ του ευεργέτη που χάρισε το θωρηκτό Αβέρωφ στο ελληνικό κράτος και έχτισε με δικά του έξοδα την « Γεωργική Αβερώφειος Σχολή » στην Λάρισα. Σήμερα ότι έχει διατηρηθεί από το κονάκι Αβέρωφ είναι δύο διώροφα κτίρια τα οποία γεφυρώνονται με μία συνδετήρια πτέρυγα. Τα δύο διώροφα κτίρια χρησίμευαν για την κατοικία και τη διημέρευση του ιδιοκτήτη και των εργαζομένων, ενώ η συνδετήρια πτέρυγα για την αποθήκευση εργαλείων ή αγροτικών προϊόντων.Το δυτικό διώροφο κτίριο είναι κεραμοσκεπές και σήμερα στεγάζει τις δραστηριότητες του Πολιτιστικού Συλλόγου της Νέας Πολιτείας «Αμυγδαλιές». Το ανατολικό διώροφο κτίριο είναι επίσης κεραμοσκεπές και έχει υποστεί σημαντικές φθορές χωρίς όμως βλάβες στον φέροντα οργανισμό.Από τη συνδετήρια πτέρυγα που γεφυρώνει τα δύο κτίρια έχει απομείνει ο φέροντας οργανισμός και δομημένα τμήματα από τσιμεντόπλινθους. Η ασκεπής σήμερα συνδετήρια πτέρυγα, έφερε δίριχτη κεραμοσκεπή στέγη. Το ανατολικό διώροφο κτίριο και η συνδετήρια πτέρυγα είναι σε ερειπιώδη κατάσταση και δεν χρησιμοποιούνται.Σήμερα ανήκει στον δήμο Λαρισαίων, ο οποίος προκήρυξε διαγωνισμό στοχεύοντας για τη συντήρηση, ανακατασκευή και επανάχρηση του κτιρίου για να μετατραπεί σε εστία πολιτισμού. It is located on Vassilis Tsitsani Street in the district of Nea Politia. It was owned by George Averoff, the benefactor who donated the battleship Averoff to the Greek state and built at his own expense the "Agricultural Averof School" in Larissa. Today what has been preserved from the Averoff cognac are two two-storey buildings which are bridged with a connecting wing. The two two-storey buildings served for the residence and the living of the owner and the employees, while the connecting wing for the storage of tools or agricultural products. The western two-storey building is tiled and today houses the activities of the Cultural Association of New State "Amyg". The eastern two-storey building is also tiled and has suffered significant damage but no damage to the load-bearing structure. The load-bearing structure that bridges the two buildings has left the load-bearing structure and structured sections of concrete bricks. The currently empty connecting wing had a pitched tiled roof. The east two-storey building and the connecting wing are in a dilapidated condition and are not used. Today it belongs to the municipality of Larissa, which announced a tender aiming at the maintenance, reconstruction and reuse of the building to be turned into a cultural center.
