Porto Koufo Resort - Epar.Od. Nikitis-Sartis

We shared an apartment in the upper villas that had two bedrooms, the bedroom we were in had a small window which was entirely blocked by the back of staircase, no direct natural light and that costed over 100eur per night as part of 50% of the apartment cost. Really terrible room. That should not be considered a room and they should not be selling it, it is totally unfair compared to the quality of the remaining rooms which were ok. There was only one bathroom in the apartment so although there were 2 bedrooms, 4 adults and 2 kids had to share a bathroom. The beach is not a walking distance, it takes over 25 minutes to walk to it, includes very steep hill and a major road crossing without a pedestrian crosswalk. There was no quality food that one can order on the pool. The parking ground at the top is not levelled and doesn't have space for two cars, which means you would have to park behind each other and ensure you are available to move your car or that your neighbour is available. The steep levels of the complex means moving around requires climbing stairs and hills and since the place is mostly stone, watching your step is essential. This place is meant for people that don't mind spending 1 hour in their cars every day while on vacation and really there are much better places near the beach for that money., Keep in mind we are both athletic, climb mountains hills regularly and walk at least 5km every day, there is difference between pleasant vacation walk and goat-style walks. Location sucks, room sucked, Costas is nice but he did not offer a different room despite knowing we truly hated ours. My worst stay in Greece.

One of the best holiday places I visited do far!

We went there during the 2nd and 3rd week of June, this year. Badly in need of a complete rest and just a chilled holiday. What we found was the most lovely hideaway. We were so well cared for and made welcome by the whole family. One night we had a very special family meal (7 people) that they happily prepared for us, with a little notice. The food was divine and the setting was simple and perfect. Visit before 15th of June or from September if you don't have small children. Caters for families in the peak period. Unspoilt setting and wonderful hospitality. There's no place like it. We are looking forward to going back again.

We were in many places in Greece, but for the first time, we were so impressed and felt so comfortable, that we decided to stay second week and we will definitely come back very soon. We were in Amaryllis apartment, then in a bungalow, both are amazing. Thanks to our hosts Irene and Costas we spent one of the most amazing vacations!

Porto Koufo is a local version of heaven. The unit itself has a stunning view of the bay and mountains, and is located perfectly just a bit above the small village, which is easily accessible by either foot or car. Irene was absolutely great! very informative in the correspondence before arrival, then she picked us up from the bus station, and was available and happy to help with everything. She also generously offered us to check out late (we visited off-season, in October). The unit itself is basic, but well equipped, with a comfy sofa, a small dining table with 2 chairs, and a handy kitchenette. The "porch" has the most beautiful views you could expect, and we spent hours sitting and absorbing the beauty and serenity of the place. highly recommended!
