Princess Golden Beach Hotel - Χρυσή Αμμουδιά

Nice clean hotel located a short distance from the beach. Pleasant friendly staff but maybe could have been a little quicker and more attentive in the restaurant. Room was a good size with comfortable beds fridge and safe. Good size bathroom but shower was to small with a overly complicated shower unit that took up precious space.

Staff were very very kind and friendly. Golden beach is one of the best beaches on Thassos, maybe the best one. Room was new and clean, maybe a little bit smaller than you would expect but okay. Food was really really delicius and everyday was different choice. Owner is very friendly and kind too. He asked if everything is okay and good, if it’s not, he will do something with it. And that is rare on hotels! Definitely I recommended this hotel, and I hope sometimes I will have opportunity to visit this place once more!

Great staff, great hotel. They have taken all this covid19 situation very seriously and took exemplary protective measures. We really felt safe during our stay and we had a wonderful vacation. Definitely we will come back!

Really nice hotel and very friendly staff. I had a good week here with my family and kids had a good time at pool and beach. Pool area and beach is close. Pool depth is between 0,6-2,0 meters. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and hotel is not noisy. Restaurant served good food and personnel gave extra attention for kids. Hotel has basic fitness room, which could be improved.

Not a 4 star hotel! We booked for 4 nights but after 2 days we've left. I cannot say the breakfast was average, was how can I say... BAD! First day, no hot water. In the reception the smell of food was awful!

I couldn't have wished for a better hotel experience, you could literally eat from the floor and they handled the current situation so well. Staff is extraordinarily friendly and the offering on different dishes was even with the fewer guests this year so generous and delicious! Every day there's a special live-cooked meal/salad/dessert and those pancakes they made fresh one evening were the best I've ever tasted, shout-out to the extremely talented cooks! Can only recommend fully and it's also located at the most beautiful and huge beach on Thasos.

We re young family from Slovakia,staying now at Princess Golden Beach hotel. I would first point it out, that this is small "family" hotel, different from the typical big resorts as we where staying before. Small,but nice, really friendly and hadrworking staff, helpfull. I completely doesnt understand those reviews who are complaining about food?! If you prefer freshness abs quality food,you re on the right place here!!!! Tasty,delicious,varoius choice at lunch and dinner!They are doing here excellent job here!I absolutely love it and also my kids do . Breakfeast could be more variable,but you will choose for sure (mostly every day the same) All inclusive servise is a little bit limited,for example ice cream for kids,avaliable only from lunch to dinner,before and after your have to pay for it Choise of All inclusive between main dishes is pure - just a few cookies.. This hotel is located a few steps from the beach (you have to cross throught the Road - but there is not so much traffic there) Right behind hotel is supermarket and two car rentals. I would say the Golden beach area is not so rush,in the evenings empty,just few bars and restuarants open. About 30 minutes walk is nice promenade with different shops,bars. I would Also point it out,this hotel is not do small kids. No children pool,minimum height in the pool is about one meter,Also in the evenings no actions for kids,no miniclub. Only one playground outside, but we didnt visited it yet, nothing special ? Rooms ste modern,we have with big terrasse with sea view ❤️, it could be bigger,we are missing place to store the personal clothes. To sum it up,I would recommend this hotel.I am in love with Thassos,we have visited incredible Saliara beach and also few other ones. I recommend to hire a car. The most disappointing hotel ever. One should not recommend this to the worst of the enemies. Broken toilet-door, despite intense discussions completely ignored. Had to fight for a second key. Hotel policy is to supply one key only, even when you come as a family. Family room balcony, exposed to elements; when raining you cannot stay outside at all, but also the furniture were not waterproof, so you could not sit outside even the days after the rain, as were soaked. By the pool, if you have not opted for the all inclusive, you are NOT allowed to eat a snack, even if you are prepared to pay big money.. they just don’t care.. we were adviced to order from a nearby restaurant outside the hotel! The breakfast is a combination of the worst possible and cheapest ingredients… paper-like cheese, only one day we were allowed butter, rest was margarine, awful ham, big bowls of jam or yogurt that noone knows how often were replaced.. if ever. For 190€/night value for money is a rip off. Also noted that the hotel management opts to reply only to positive comments.
