★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In a very beautiful place 500 meters after the beautiful village of Kastaneri some kilometres 12 or 15 after the small beautiful town of Goumenissa with the tasteful wines exists this small Greek Orthodox church which is devoted to Saint Profitis Ilias .
It is located on the back side of a physical square in about 800 meters height and delivers you to a wonderful sight of mount Paiko full of waters, canals and chestnut trees.
Especially in autumn the colours of the trees which are in a transition mude are looking far from an exceptional paintings view.
It is a very good opportunity to be visited at anytime of the year if you are a friend or a lover of nature but it is suggested to be visited during the Paiko trail runs in November and in July during Saint Profitis Ilias fest period of time.
