This is the most famous restaurant for Crayfish spaghetti! The food was delicious, the environment next to the sea gorgeous, and the staff super friendly! I wish I could be here every day!

The best in the region, indeed! If you ask the locals for the best taverna in the Region of southern Pelion, Trikeri Peninsula, most will point at Ψαροταβέρνα 'Ο Άγγελος' in Kottes. This small village , off the road from Milina to Trikkeri, is worth a visit, especially if you want fresh seafood., the traditional way. The Taverna can only be accessed by boat or foot. If you wonder why mainly Greeks from the region and from Volos will take the little inconvenience of a 5 Minute walk from the harbour, the answer is simple: the family Taverna has the best service, the best food at a very reasonable price, and a quiet and unique remote - somewhat archaic - location at the shore of the bay. The kitchen is very clean and delivery of your order is fast; fish and Crustaceae the catch of the day from local fishermen. Family members run the tavern, the amiable son Jorgos speaks Englisch very well, he is a perfect host, who cares and is proud to serve the Delicatessen from his mothers kitchen, and -last but not least- a homemade desert (on the house off course). We spent several days in the region and 3 days in Kottes, tried all the Restaurants in the village, Ψαροταβέρνα 'Ο Άγγελος', is definitely the Place we will visit to eat again, enjoying the magic of the Place and the hospitality of the family.

I consider this place to be one of my top taverna finds ever. It's not just about the food - which was great for all the reasons given in the other reviews - it is just a wonderful experience. We drove in from Milies, just over an hour away. The drive was as memorable as the food: hillsides full of olive groves and pine trees on one side, deep blue coastline on the other. The taverna itself is reached by foot- an easy 5 minute walk that only adds to the charm. The staff is local, friendly, and comfortable using English. We visited before the peak season so we had no trouble getting a table, but I can imagine booking or arriving early might be necessary in the summer months when the boat traffic picks up. The taverna food is traditional, fresh, fairly priced, and skillfully prepared. Overall, if you find yourself within a couple of hours of this place, do yourself a favor and make a day out of it. Careful to follow the road signs for the village of Kottes when you get close and ignore google maps, which will try to send you down a terrifying service road.

We’ve been off season, it was beautiful and quite. The location of the restaurant is the most unique you can imagine - on the small and deserted beach surrounded by olive trees The food is all about freshness . We tried all the seafood and fish they had fresh from the same day and local dishes prepared by the mother of the owner. Superb

Amazing location! 5minutes walk in the olive trees alley, and you will reach amazing calm place, with firiendly stuff and absolutely amazing seafood!

Taverna Da Angelo A beautifull waterfront place to eat, have fresh fish and other seafood. You will find it at the end of the road in Kottes, and then after a little walk trough an olive tree garden.
