And its all thanks to the amazingly generous hospitality of the guy running the place.
It's a MUST STOP!
One exception might be vegans and vegetarians who might not like the whole pork resting on a huge butcher's block

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's one of those places where you'll happily do a couple of hours of extra driving just to pass by that place. Christos is an excellent, open hearted host who will treat you like a loved family member. Simple, quality roasted pork (or "gournopoula" as it's called in Messinia), literally fresh from the oven, is one of those" love on first sight " moments of your life. Everytime I'm smelling that stuff I feel like there's a cluster of butterflies in my belly. Whenever we're going on a trip there's no way we won't stop by Christos to get some gournopoula. Sadly it never makes it to it's destination because you simply can't resist it when you have it right beside you in the car. It starts with a bite and ends in a fight of who is going to get the last piece of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Think the outward appearance doesn't do it justice. A local friend recommended the place to me. Every time I pass through I have some take away "gourounopoula" and I end up eating the whole thing on the way to Athens ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very hungry, found this Diamond along the road, what an experience the first for us, great food and really to much to eat but we gave it our best try, so if you want to try fresh pork, Greek salad and a cold beer this is your place
