★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Red Castle was a pleasant surprise in surprising Kokkinos Pyrgos, a once famous seaside resort. The taverna is in an ideal location right by the water's edge. Suggestions include everything on the menu, the food was great. The place would get five-stars except that the owner was working alone and got a bit behind. Highly recommended for hanging out for the day or forever. See image.

If you really want to taste succulent dishes, then you should head for Red Castle. It was undoubtedly a mouth watering experience and the best way to live Cretan Hospitality. A family run taverna that can accommodate all tastes and offer you carefree moments. Michalis and Yiannis will do their best to satisfy all customers- even the most demanding ones. Literally time stops there while you're enjoying your food,staring at the Cretan sea and feeling the breeze...soooo relaxing! I have already been there 3 times. You must definitely stop by when on Crete!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very wide selection of delicious food and very friendly staff. The location is amazing. We got the most romantic sunset with our meal.
I also loved the educational table mat with important phrases in Greek to learn while waiting for our food. Nice attention to detail.

Best customer service we've experienced in Crete so far and yummy delicious house wine. Much better than any other beach restaurants around. Highly recommend! We will be back, thank you
