I was first introduced to this amazing line of Greek organic herbal tea blends during my last visit to my hometown of Thessaloniki. I originally picked the Sea blend from Olicatessen modern Greek grocery store. I like to consider myself somewhat of a herbal tea connoisseur, and have tried various Greek herbal teas/blends. Most are world class and come in very unique package designs. I must say, I was really impressed by Rhoeco's Sea blend. I opened the loose leaf tea bag and the aroma of countryside Greece instantly stimulated my senses and filled the room with happiness. Chamomile was the main herb present to the nose. This herbal tea blend is really smooth and light to taste. A few months later I was able to get my hands on the Urban and Agros tea blends. Urban has a very unique taste with Thyme and Rosemary being the main herbs to the nose for me. This tea is really well balanced and is not as light to taste as Sea. I feel Urban has bit more of a bold personality and can be considered a bit stronger/medium flavored. Agros I must say caught me off guard with it's unusual mix of herbs. Marigold and Pennyroyal are among some of the herbs that you will find in this blend. When you drink, a subtle Mint flavor will invigorate your taste buds with undertones of citrus all over. I'm looking forward to trying Forrest and Mountain next. One thing to note is that this company is doing something that is a Worldwide first with their packaging. Once the contents are finished, you will find a seed stick glued with organic herb seeds underside of the lid. You can add soil to the biodegradable container, embed the seed and grow your own herbs. Later plant the container in a bigger pot or directly in your garden (and watch the magic happen). I love all the enterpernual innovation coming out of Greece right now from young entrepreneurs such as the folks behind rhoeco. Keep up the excellent work!
