This is the Shrine to Saint Arsenius that Lawrence Durrell describes as his 'second birthplace' in 'Prospero's Cell'. It's a small chapel built by a local fisherman who found an icon to the saint in the bay below. Although the shrine is hard to access, the bay below is stunning and great for swimming, snorkelling or diving from a boat. A rock that juts out to the left hides a cave that goes back into the rock, curves round, and comes back out into a blue-lit grotto that can only be exited by diving under the water.

Amazing location, path down is difficult but managed in flip flops. Couple of underwater caves you can swim through close by

It is a very small chapel. Be careful on the way to the chapel - the descent is steep enough and there is no handrails.

It's a fun little place to kayak or paddleboard to from one of the nearby beaches. It's only accessible by boat. Some good snorkling with a fun little cave to swim through. Visit the chapel and get some religion, or leave an offering for St. Arsenius. The chapel needs a new log book, the 4 there are getting filled up.
